Overview

Do you have a child who plays in a school or community sports league? Do you lead an active lifestyle? When it comes time to shop for equipment, be sure to include a visit with the dentist at Fox Valley Dental. Dr. Joseph Olsen can see you or your child for an appointment for a custom sports mouthguard in Neenah, Wisconsin, to keep your smile safe. Call our office at 920-725-1327 today to schedule a visit.

As part of our commitment to helping you protect your smile, our dentist and team offer sports mouthguards. We recommend that anyone who participates in a sport use a customized mouthguard to protect their teeth and smile. Sports guards are designed to fit comfortably over your teeth and work to prevent injuries such as chipped or knocked-out teeth, as well as damage to your tongue, lips, cheeks, and gums. Additionally, custom mouthguards reduce the likelihood of jaw and neck injuries while playing sports.

Sports mouthguards are often a required piece of gear for high-contact sports such as wrestling, football, hockey, rugby, soccer, basketball, and boxing. However, mouthguards can be highly beneficial even if you participate in individual athletic activities such as running or biking. Even if a mouthguard is not required to participate in an athletic activity or sport, we recommend that you consider using one just in case.

You can purchase generic “stock” mouthguards at most local sporting goods stores, but we recommend that you meet with our dentist to receive a customized mouthguard. Customized mouthguards provide better protection and are more comfortable to wear.
